Paramedic Medicals
Paramedics are required to hold a C1 licence. Most universities now request paramedic students to apply for provisional C1 licence before enrolment on course. To apply for a C1 provisional licence you must complete a D4 medical form. In line with new regulation, if you passed your driving test after 1996 you will no longer have C1 category added to your licence automatically and will have to apply for a C1 provisional licence.
On the day of your medical
You will be greeted by one of our GMC registered doctors who will conduct the medical. The medical will involve an eye test, medical history, medication listing and blood pressure test. The HGV medical should take around 10-15minutes and you will be given the complete D4 form at the end of the D4 medical.
